Cherwell Business Adaption Fund Grant Scheme
Funded by Cherwell District Council, OxLEP Business contracted ALP Synergy Ltd to design and deliver this grant scheme.
With a budget of £450,000, the grant scheme was designed to support SME businesses to bounce back after the pandemic. The grant scheme was completed in 2023 and the businesses supported delivered the following outcomes:
- 27 new jobs created
- 17 businesses advancing their research and development
- 22 businesses entering new markets, with 15 increasing their export activities
- 10 businesses progressing towards Net Zero goals
- 5 businesses strengthening the resilience of the visitor economy
Beyond these impressive metrics, the feedback from supported businesses speaks volumes about the scheme’s success. One business shared:
“We are working with two of our largest export clients designing new products which will be for export to Europe and the Middle East. We have grown our export business and are now exporting more to America and Asia as a result.”
These testimonials underscore the transformative impact of the grant scheme, showcasing real-world examples of growth, innovation, and sustainability driven by the funding and support provided.
As we reflect on these achievements, we are proud to present a selection of case studies from businesses that have benefitted from the Cherwell Business Adaptation Fund. These stories highlight the innovation, resilience, and success made possible by this partnership, offering inspiration for future collaborations aimed at empowering Oxfordshire businesses to reach their full potential.
